Mark and Ramona Novitski Donate $20,000 to Fund Estero History Essay Scholarships

The Estero Historical Society is honored to announce a generous $20,000 donation from Mark and Ramona Novitski to the Society’s Education and Scholarship Fund.

This fund provides awards each year to local elementary students and graduating high school seniors who participate in the Society’s essay contests focused on Estero’s rich history. The contest seeks to build connections between Estero’s youth and the area’s past, motivating a better understanding of our history in those who are building our future.

“We are so grateful to Mark and Ramona for their incredible support,” said Gail Langner, Board President of the Estero Historical Society. “Their gift will allow us to continue inspiring young minds to learn about and appreciate the history of our community for years to come.”

The Estero Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is committed to preserving and sharing Estero’s rich heritage through education, events, and tours. The Society maintains and operates two restored historic buildings in the Estero Park and Recreation Center at 9285 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. Plans are also underway to relocate and preserve a third building, the historic Smith-Alvarez home.
