The holidays were coming up and the usual holiday lunch with the Historical board, members and friends was being chaired by MaryAnn Weenen and Beverly MacNellis. The decision was made to move the lunch out of the air-conditioned comfort of a restaurant and move it to the park. We need to bring attention to the houses and raise money. It worked. About $1,200 was raised.
I lot of discomfort, but a lot of fun.
In 2011 the Holiday Lunch at the Park was held on the new deck in the shade.
