DESCRIPTION:From 1910 to 1927 the Estero Inn welcomed travelers\, provided key services\, and introduced visitors to the beauty of Estero. Built on the Estero River\, the inn catered to hunters and fishermen\, and boasted Estero’s first advertised golf course. \nLearn more about the importance and impact of this amenity on the history of our town at this presentation by the Lead Docent of the Estero Historical Society. \nThis event is free and open to the public and will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday\, January 28\, 2027 at the South County Regional Library\, 21100 Three Oaks Parkway\, Estero\, Fl 33928. \nWe will provide a link to the library registration page when it becomes available. \nThe Estero Historical Society is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of our unique greater Estero area\, and depends on volunteers and donations for projects such as the relocation and restoration of the Alvarez/Smith Home.
