SUMMARY:The Koreshan Influence in Estero
DESCRIPTION:The Koreshans were a unique group of people with some extraordinary beliefs. How did they fit in with the surrounding population? How did a typical interaction go between a member of the Unity and other locals?  \nThe Lead Docent of the Estero Historical Society will share insights into the relationship between the Koreshans and the rest of the county in a program at Koreshan State Park on Friday\, February\, 19\, 2027 starting at 10 am. Hear about the stories while immersed in the very buildings they lived in.  \nThe program is free and open to the public\, with the cost of admission to the park. Registration is through the Friends of Koreshan State Park. \nThe Estero Historical Society is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of our unique greater Estero area\, and depends on volunteers and donations for projects such as the relocation and restoration of the Alvarez/Smith Home.
